ALLENSON, Violet Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2010

ALLENSON, Violet Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2010 in the evening with her husband John and her children by her side. Violet was met by her son, Paul (1974) and her daughter, Jennifer (1996) as she went home. She will be remembered by her children Larry Allenson, Donna Mae Heer (Barry), Charlene Crozier and Nancy Ann Reidel, all of Kitchener, Lorna Allenson of Clifton, Lisa Shantz-Connell (Doug) of Nova Scotia and David Allenson (Colleen) of Roseville. Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Robert of St. Catherines, Bernice of Thessalon and Leona (Stan) of Harriston. Sister-in-law of Sandi of Hepworth, Loreen of Hanover, Verna of Neustadt, and Mary Jean of Kitchener. Violet was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530, Waterloo for over 50 years. Long time treasurer of S.O.A.R. Local #80 Retiree Club, Rockway Seniors' Centre and the Cape Breton Club. Long time active member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel (51 Benton at Church Street, Kitchener) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Transfer will be made at 12 noon on Thursday, February 4, 2010 to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church (248 Highland Road East, Kitchener) for a complete funeral at 1:00 p.m. Pastor William Shafer officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau. Violet was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all. Donations to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Building Fund, or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530 Ladies Auxillary would be appreciated. For online condolences please visit www.mem.com
