Poppy Campaign: 5 Jan 2018

We would like to thank all of the Volunteers for their help during the Poppy Campaign, you all did a fantastic job during this important Event.
The #1596 Army Cadets also did a Super Job this year in tagging, they were out at the Kitchener Shopping Malls and Various Stores collecting for this worthwhile cause.
A Big thanks to the Parents of the Cadets for dropping them off pick up,and various other duties that had to be organized during this Campaign.
Also many thanks to the many Businesses who allowed us to put Poppy Boxes in their stores.
These funds will go to Our Veterans in Need.
The Poppy has been widely recognized as a symbol of Remembrance, since it was first adopted in 1921. By wearing the Poppy, we demonstrate our gratitude to those who gave their lives for the freedom we enjoy. The Poppy Campaign raises awareness of the Poppy as a symbol of Remembrance.The Poppy Campaign is the Foundation of our Remembrance Programme.
